CONTEXT

The site for the proposed development is situated on the eastern edge of Westbury.

 

The site is bound to the east by Coach Road, beyond which lies agricultural land, and to the north, west and south by recent residential development.

 

The site is connected via Bitham Park to the A350 / Trowbridge Road, a strategic principal road in the highway network. The site is approximately 1.5km from Westbury train station and is walking distance to a number of local shops and services.

 

The site is a proposed allocation in the emerging Westbury Neighbourhood Plan. The site is proposed to meet the housing land supply shortfall of Wiltshire Council and will provide a range and mix of housing including affordable homes.
